Intern – Operations
Based at MAS Fabric Park, Thulhiriya
We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Operations Intern to support our Sustainable Biomass sourcing and certification initiatives. The ideal candidate will assist in sustainability-related operations, documentation management, field data collection, supplier engagement, and reporting activities. This role provides valuable exposure to environmental management practices, sustainable sourcing frameworks, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain documentation related to SLS 1551 Sustainable Biomass Certification.
- Collect field data and coordinate with suppliers/vendors.
- Conduct field visits and support vendor training and awareness programs.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sustainability and biomass sourcing reports.
- Assist in monitoring compliance with sustainable biomass sourcing standards.
- Support operational activities and continuous improvement initiatives related to sustainability.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Undergraduate or graduate in Environmental Management, Forestry, Plant Management, Agriculture, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of environmental sustainability and sustainable resource management.
- Good data collection, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel for field visits and vendor engagement.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
