Job Overview
On our Quality Engineering team, you will help ensure the reliability and performance of our software products. You’ll learn and apply end-to-end testing processes, collaborate closely with development and product teams, and gain hands-on experience with various testing methodologies and tools.
Key Responsibilities
• Learn and apply the software testing life cycle (STLC) and quality assurance best practices.
• Assist in the creation, review, and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Execute manual and automated functional tests to validate new features and bug fixes.
• Perform API testing to verify endpoints, data contracts, and error handling.
• Conduct data validation and data-driven testing to ensure integrity across different storage layers.
• Log, track, and verify defects in the issue-tracking system; collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Participate in requirement and design reviews to provide feedback from a quality perspective.
• Support continuous integration pipelines by integrating automated tests into build workflows.
• Contribute to process improvements, test coverage analysis, and metric reporting.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 0 to 6 months of internship or co-op experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with fundamental testing concepts: test planning, test execution, defect life cycle, and test reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively in team settings.
Advantageous Skills & Experience
• Proficiency or coursework in Python, Playwright for test automation.
• Experience or exposure to API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST-assured).
• Knowledge of data testing techniques, SQL querying, and data validation.
• Hands-on experience with functional UI automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
