Intern (Social Performance)
As an Intern Social Performance, you will be an integral part of the Environment & Social Performance team at PETRONAS Gas & Maritime Business. Your primary focus will be to support the implementation of social performance strategies, governance, and capability development. This role is crucial in safeguarding PETRONAS social license to operate by identifying and mitigating social risks and impacts as well as crafting promotional and capability development materials. You are required to be self-driven in learning and will work closely with the team to ensure the successful execution of social performance initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
- Assist in the implementation of Social Performance technology strategy and roadmap.
- Identify and analyze technical requirements and value creation opportunities in Social Performance.
- Provide technical guidance and solutions to address specific issues or potential problems at the OPU level.
- Participate in the development, review, and enhancement of technical capability development tools and training modules.
- Conduct training sessions and provide technical coaching to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.
- Engage in Social Performance Community of Practice (CoP) and Improvement Working Group (IWG) activities.
- Network with Social Performance technical experts to stay updated on industry best practices and advancements.
- Seek and introduce innovative ideas, technologies, and work processes to enhance Social Performance.
- Monitor and capture lessons learned from technical implementation of operational improvement initiatives.
- Ensure timely and effective completion of assigned tasks and projects.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
- Strong interest in social performance, sustainability, and human rights issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
- Basic understanding of technology and its application in social performance is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
- Prior experience in a similar role or involvement in social performance projects is an advantage.
