Intern - Systems Engineer

Summary

As an intern on Quadeye's Latency Systems Team, you'll optimize real-time trading systems that execute at nanosecond-level latency, working at the intersection of OS internals, networking, hardware architecture, and high-performance C/C++ software design, with mentorship and a clear path to full-time conversion at a top algorithmic trading firm.

Quadeye is a global algorithmic trading firm operating across major financial markets and exchanges. We specialize in designing sophisticated, automated trading strategies powered by deep research, statistical modeling, and cutting-edge technology. Our systems analyze vast datasets in real time and execute trades at extremely low latencies, allowing us to compete successfully in the world’s fastest financial markets.

We combine advanced mathematical models with world-class engineering to build trading systems that are scalable, resilient, and exceptionally high-performance. Our flat, meritocratic organizational culture empowers engineers and researchers to take full ownership of their work. Individuals at Quadeye are encouraged to question assumptions, experiment with new ideas, and push the boundaries of performance.

With access to world-class infrastructure, mentorship from industry experts, and real-time feedback loops, our teams thrive in solving some of the most challenging problems in quantitative finance. We believe in a culture where curiosity, innovation, autonomy, and technical excellence come together. More importantly, we value work–life balance, collaboration, and team bonding just as much as performance.

From global offsites, sports tournaments, team outings, and social gatherings to a fun and energetic office environment, Quadeye fosters a vibrant workplace where people enjoy the work they do and the people they do it with.

Requirements

We are looking for exceptional engineers to join our Latency Systems Team, a team that builds the technological backbone of Quadeye’s trading operations. As part of this team, you will work on optimizing and designing real-time systems that operate at nanosecond-level latency, where every hardware cycle and every CPU instruction matters.

You will work at the intersection of operating system internals, networking, hardware architecture, and high-performance software design. This role involves full-cycle ownership: from understanding system requirements, designing solutions, writing efficient code, testing performance, deploying at scale, to monitoring systems in production.

You’ll collaborate closely with quantitative researchers, traders, system engineers, and infrastructure teams to ensure our systems push the edge of performance and reliability.

This internship is ideal for students who enjoy low-level programming, system design, OS internals, and algorithmic optimization.
