Internal Auditor (School)

Key Responsibilities

Conduct audits of financial statements, accounting records, and operational processes
Review internal controls, compliance with policies, and regulatory requirements
Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management
Recommend improvements to strengthen controls and efficiency
Support external audits and liaise with auditors
Monitor payroll, expenditures, and asset management
Identify potential areas of risk, fraud, or financial mismanagement
Follow up on management’s implementation of audit recommendations

Requirements

Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Professional certification preferred (ICAN, ACCA, CPA)
4–6 years internal audit experience, preferably in a school or educational environment
Strong knowledge of internal controls, audit processes, and accounting software.
