International Group Reporting Manager

About Redpath

The Redpath Group is a leading global mining contractor with almost 10,000 employees working across some of the world's most challenging and exciting mining projects.

For more than 60 years, Redpath has built a reputation for delivering world-class underground mining, mine development, shaft sinking, raiseboring, engineering and technical services across the globe. Our success is built on innovation, safety, operational excellence and most importantly, our people.

As our business continues to grow internationally, we are seeking an experienced International Group Reporting Manager to join our Brisbane Head Office and play a key leadership role supporting operations across Indonesia, Botswana and Kazakhstan.

The Opportunity

This is not your typical reporting role.

As the International Group Reporting Manager, you will take ownership of financial reporting, statutory compliance, governance and audit activities across several international operations. You will work closely with senior finance leaders both locally and internationally while leading offshore finance teams that support our global business.

The role offers a unique opportunity to step into a genuinely international leadership position, making it ideal for an experienced Group Financial Controller, Senior Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Group Reporting Manager looking to broaden their scope within a large multinational organisation.

You'll be part of a collaborative leadership team and have the opportunity to influence financial performance, reporting processes and governance standards across multiple countries.

Perks:

  • Competitive salary package.
  • International leadership exposure within a global organisation.
  • Career development opportunities across the broader Redpath Group.
  • Salary continuance insurance and life insurance.
  • Discounted BUPA health insurance.
  • Exclusive access to Redzone, Redpath's employee rewards program.
  • Novated leasing options.
  • Training and professional development opportunities.
  • Long service recognition payments including:
    $3,000 at 5 years
    $10,000 at 10 years
    $15,000 at 15 years
    $20,000 at 20 years

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead consolidated IFRS financial reporting to Redpath Headquarters in Canada.
  • Oversee statutory reporting and compliance obligations across several international jurisdictions.
  • Manage external audit processes and coordinate year-end financial reporting activities.
  • Drive governance and oversight of balance sheet reconciliations, financial controls and reporting processes.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities across international operations.
  • Review cash flow, debtor and working capital reporting.
  • Partner with finance and operational stakeholders across Australia, Indonesia, Botswana, Kazakhstan and Canada.
  • Lead, develop and mentor offshore finance teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardisation and operational efficiencies.
  • Support the Financial Controller, CFO and broader Finance leadership team on strategic initiatives and business projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with leadership and business partnering.

You'll gain exposure to:

  • Multiple international operations and jurisdictions.
  • Senior leadership stakeholders across a global organisation.
  • Complex IFRS reporting and consolidation activities.
  • Offshore team leadership and development.
  • Strategic finance initiatives that directly influence business performance.

If you're currently operating as a Group Financial Controller or senior finance leader in a smaller organisation and are looking to step into a larger global environment, this role will provide the scale and international exposure to support the next stage of your career.

  • CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
  • Extensive experience in financial reporting, group accounting, consolidation or financial control roles.
  • Strong IFRS reporting and consolidation expertise.
  • Experience working within multinational organisations with international operations.
  • Exposure to foreign currency accounting and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Experience leading remote or offshore finance teams.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with major ERP platforms such as Oracle Fusion, Hyperion or Essbase.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced global environment.
