International Tax Director | Dublin (Hybrid)

 

A progressive, internationally connected advisory firm is seeking to appoint an experienced International Tax Director to its Dublin-based tax leadership team.

This appointment comes at a significant stage of growth for the organisation, with continued expansion across international markets and increasing demand for cross-border tax advisory services. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling the corporate and international tax offering in Ireland.

The Role

This is a senior leadership position combining technical advisory expertise, strategic input, business development and people management. You will work closely with Partners and fellow Directors to strengthen the firm’s international tax capability while supporting a broad portfolio of Irish-headquartered and multinational clients operating across multiple jurisdictions.

The role offers genuine influence in driving service line growth and contributing to wider firm strategy.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Taking ownership of a substantial portfolio of international and corporate tax clients

• Advising on complex cross-border structuring, M&A transactions, reorganisations and IP-related planning

• Playing a lead role in identifying and converting new business opportunities

• Building strong referral channels internally across service lines

• Overseeing financial performance of engagements, including budgeting and recovery

• Acting as a key escalation point on technical matters to ensure high-quality client delivery

• Leading, developing and retaining a high-performing tax team

• Contributing to operational planning, performance metrics and broader strategic initiatives

Candidate Profile

• ITI qualified and ACA / ACCA qualified

• Approximately 8+ years’ corporate or international tax experience within professional practice

• Demonstrated experience operating at senior management or director level

• Strong background advising internationally active or FDI-focused clients

• Commercially astute with a proven ability to grow client relationships

• Experience managing and developing teams within a performance-driven environment

• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills

• Technically strong across corporate tax advisory matters

• Proficient across core business software applications
