Internship Assistant Event Marketing

Do you want to turn your passion for wildlife and the outdoors into an impactful project? Within our Wildlife Commercial team, you design and lead immersive experiences to connect our hunting, fishing, and outdoor sports community. Your energy brings our product innovations to life directly in our stores and out in the field.

We are looking for a motivated, organized, and sporty intern with a passion for event planning to help us bring this project to life.

Under the guidance of the Wild Life Commercial Director, and in collaboration with the Communication and Retail teams, you will work on:

• Designing, coordinating, and executing in-store events : animations, product launches, theme days, etc. For instance, for 2027, we would like to organize an immersive deer-rutting excursion to allow clients to test our photography and wildlife observation accessories, as well as Opening Days for the Launch of the hunting season

• Bringing our stores to life: You design, coordinate, and host in-store events, hands-on workshops, and product launch days across our hunting and fishing aisles.

• Leading field logistics: You manage testing gear, coordinate schedules, arrange transport, obtain necessary access permits, and guarantee the safety of all participants.

• Creating engaging content: You craft impactful communication materials to promote your events, including in-store posters, social media posts, customer invites, and teaser videos.

• Measuring event impact: You gather customer feedback, evaluate attendance and commercial outcomes, and deliver concrete recommendations for future editions.

Profile

You are a creative and meticulous student who thrives on seeing a project through from A to Z.

Your energy isn't confined to a desk ! You are highly adaptable and enjoy working "on the field" to get the job done.

You are genuinely passionate about wildlife, hunting, fishing, or nature observation, and you love sharing that passion with others.

Also, you might be the perfect person if you:

• Are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Event Marketing, Communication, Sport Management, or a similar field.

• Have experience organizing events (student, sports, or association-based).

• Are fluent in French (spoken and written)—Dutch or English are a strong asset.

• Are willing to travel to stores in major Belgian cities. You hold a valid driving license.

Internship Details

• Location: Decathlon Belgium Headquarters – Avenue Jules Bordet 1, 1140 Evere (Brussels) + stores in Wallonia.

• Duration: 3 to 4 months (February-June 2027 or May-Septembre 2027)

• Start Date: To be agreed upon

• Type: Full-time Internship (Unpaid. Convention required).
