Data Privacy Intern
Data Privacy Intern (PDB Compliance – Data Privacy Unit): We are seeking a motivated Data Privacy Intern to support the PDB Compliance Data Privacy Unit in carrying out data privacy and compliance activities, including assisting with documentation, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), personal data mapping, research on data protection laws and policies, and preparation of awareness materials, while gaining hands‑on exposure to corporate data privacy governance and regulatory compliance.
PDB Compliance – Data Privacy Unit
The Data Privacy Intern will support the PDB Compliance Data Privacy Unit in implementing and maintaining data privacy and personal data protection practices across the organisation. This role provides hands‑on exposure to corporate data privacy governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management within a structured compliance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Data Privacy team in day‑to‑day compliance and governance activities
- Support the preparation, review, and maintenance of data privacy documentation, including personal data mapping records and related registers
- Provide assistance in Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) and other privacy assessments
- Conduct research on applicable data protection laws, internal policies, and best practices
- Assist in preparing training materials, presentations, and awareness content related to data privacy
- Support coordination with internal stakeholders on data privacy matters
- Perform general administrative and project support tasks as required by the Data Privacy Unit
Requirements
Currently pursuing a degree in Law, Compliance, Information Management, Business, IT, or related disciplines
Strong interest in data privacy, data protection, governance, or regulatory compliance
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to handle confidential information
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
