INVENTORY AND USED CAR ACQUISTION MANAGER
NewBe an early applicantJim Taylor Auto Group is hiring one person to own used inventory across all three of our stores - Chevrolet in Rayville, Buick GMC in Monroe, Ford in Ruston. You decide what we buy, what we pay, and what we ask. We are at roughly 75-100 used units a month as a group and we are going to 150+. That is the job, and the pay plan is built to pay you for doing it.

Pay: $82,500 base salary, exempt, paid bi-weekly. Company demo vehicle and business fuel provided. Full benefits.
Quarterly volume bonus on group used retail average: 100/mo = $2,500 · 125/mo = $5,000 · 150/mo = $7,500 · 175/mo = $10,000 · 200+/mo = $12,500.
Quarterly aging bonus on percentage of used inventory over 60 days: 35% or less = $2,000 · 30% = $4,000 · 25% = $6,000 · 20% = $8,000 · 15% = $10,000.
Target total compensation at 150+ units/month: $135,000 - $160,000+.
WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR — READ BEFORE APPLYING
- 3+ years buying, appraising, or managing used inventory at a franchise dealership
- You live in a live-market pricing tool and can explain your pricing philosophy in two minutes
- Numbers you can defend: units acquired per month, days to turn, average front gross, aging policy
- You will buy at auction - digital and physical - handle arbitration, and defend the number afterward
- You will be responsible for growing acquisitions beyond trades and auctions, including street purchases, social media purchases and service acquisitions
- You can run recon and frontline timelines, not just price cars
- You are fine driving between three stores in a week

- Acquisition across auction, wholesale, private party, trades, and the service drive
- Daily market pricing on every unit and a structured price review cadence
- Recon budgeting, approvals, and the clock from acquisition to frontline-ready
- Online listing accuracy, pricing integrity, and merchandising quality
- Inventory mix and transfers across all three stores
- A weekly performance meeting with the GMs and Sales Managers
