Job Summary: The inventory clerk is responsible for keeping track of the goods and supplies in the warehouse and manages orders to facilitate sales or production. This position is also responsible for recording company inventory to ensure items are accurately stored and stocked.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Enter data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations
  • Inventory and cycle count adjustments into computer database
  • Close shop packets received and purge computer database
  • Receive and issue finished goods into computer database
  • Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel
  • Record and monitor all items with shelf-life daily and notify appropriate personnel when material has expired
  • Prepare monthly reports for cycle count and pick-lists count for monthly highlights
  • Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Have practical experience in a related work environment
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to properly handle confidential information and records
  • Able to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential discrepancies

Essential Physical Functions:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
  • Must be able to navigate warehouse and production area and reach items both high and low
