JOB DESCRIPTION

Generation Tux is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Control Analyst to support inventory operations at the Louisville Distribution Center (DC). This role partners closely with the Inventory Manager to maintain inventory accuracy, monitor inventory availability, support reporting and data analysis, verify purchase order accuracy, and proactively identify inventory risks before they impact customer fulfillment.

Generation Tux is an online tuxedo and suit rental platform founded by menswear legend George Zimmer. Founded in 2014, Generation Tux provides high-quality tuxedo and suit rentals that are competitively priced and conveniently delivered directly to customers’ doors.

This position serves as a key operational partner within the Inventory department, helping ensure inventory is accurate, available, organized, and aligned with business demand. The role combines hands-on warehouse inventory support with analytical reporting, inventory systems, RFID technology, and cross-functional collaboration to drive operational excellence. This is a fully onsite role that requires daily presence in our Louisville, KY facility to support hands-on operational activities, team coordination, and inventory management.


EXPECTATIONS

  • Inventory Control & Daily Inventory Support
  • Support the Inventory Manager with daily inventory priorities, issue resolution, and operational follow-up
  • Monitor live inventory levels across styles, sizes, colors, and garment categories
  • Identify inventory shortages, overages, accuracy issues, and potential fulfillment risks
  • Help maintain strong inventory accuracy between warehouse systems and physical inventory
  • Review inventory movement, item status, and location accuracy
  • Support cycle counts, physical inventory audits, RFID scanning, and reconciliation activities
  • Assist in identifying root causes of recurring inventory discrepancies
  • Help ensure inventory processes and standards are consistently followed

Reporting & Inventory Analysis

  • Run, review, and maintain inventory reports using Metabase, Google Sheets, and internal reporting systems
  • Analyze inventory trends, demand, blocked orders, missing garments, inventory usage, and availability concerns
  • Maintain dashboards and tracking tools that improve inventory visibility
  • Identify inventory requiring replenishment, repair, relocation, adjustment, or removal
  • Escalate inventory risks with supporting data and recommended actions
  • Prepare inventory reporting and analysis for leadership as requested
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inventory issues, corrective actions, and follow-up activities

Purchase Order & Receiving Support

  • Assist with reviewing purchase orders before and after inventory receipt
  • Verify incoming inventory matches expected quantities, styles, sizes, colors, and SKUs
  • Ensure newly received inventory is accurately entered into inventory systems and made rental-ready
  • Partner with Receiving, Quality, and Inventory teams to resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Identify and communicate purchase order issues, receiving errors, missing inventory, incorrect SKUs, and quality concerns
  • Support proper placement, labeling, scanning, and tracking of incoming inventory

Inventory Availability & Fulfillment Support

  • Monitor blocked, constrained, or at-risk inventory that may impact customer orders
  • Evaluate available substitutions while maintaining garment style, color, fit, and wedding party consistency
  • Partner with Inventory and Fulfillment teams to resolve inventory constraints before shipment deadlines
  • Utilize garment, sizing, SKU, and substitution knowledge to support fulfillment decisions
  • Track recurring inventory constraints and recommend long-term corrective actions
  • Support urgent inventory issue resolution during peak production periods

Inventory Planning & Continuous Improvement

  • Review upcoming demand and historical trends to anticipate inventory needs
  • Monitor inventory depth by style, size, and category throughout the year
  • Identify inventory that is understocked, overstocked, aging, damaged, missing, or underutilized
  • Recommend inventory additions, transfers, repairs, removals, or process improvements based on operational data
  • Support inventory readiness initiatives leading into peak business periods
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory reporting, RFID processes, tracking, and overall workflow efficiency

Systems & Data Integrity

  • Utilize RFID technology and warehouse inventory systems to locate, verify, and reconcile inventory
  • Investigate missing inventory, incorrect inventory statuses, and location discrepancies
  • Maintain integrity and accuracy of inventory data across systems
  • Ensure physical inventory aligns with system records
  • Identify process gaps contributing to inventory inaccuracies and recommend sustainable solutions
