Inventory Control Clerk

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Controller, the cycle counter is responsible for maintaining, monitoring and controlling inventory accuracy, conducting daily audits of designated inventory to assure the accuracy of system information.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Working from a generated list, the counter will locate (raw stock, finished stock, machine shop, outside services, kitted orders, sub/ final assembly) and verify counts, reconcile discrepancies, and provide corrected figures for adjustment to the inventory.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Apply, recommend and follow lean initiatives/practices.
• Adheres to all safety rules and report questionable conditions to department supervisor.
• Process Scrap tickets
• Open and closing of production orders
• Month End closing duties as assigned
• Accurately record inventory.

QUALIFICATIONS and COMPETENCIES:

To perform this job successfully, you must be detail oriented, possess strong math skills, positive attitude and strong initiative along with demonstrated accuracy of work. Extensive contact with employees in all areas of the business will be required. Previous experience with forklifts is desirable.

Must be able to read and understand process related documentation. Work in a safe manner observing safety practices.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE CREDENTIALS:

High School education or equivalent, preferred.

3-year hands-on production control/inventory in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
