INVENTORY CONTROL CLERK

SUMMARY: The Inventory Control Clerk plays a role in maintaining accurate inventory levels across multiple locations within the company's supply chain. Responsibilities include conducting cycle counts, processing incoming stock, and ensuring data accuracy within the inventory management system. With a focus on detail-oriented tasks and collaboration with various departments, the Inventory Control Clerk helps to optimize inventory levels, assess supply needs, and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
PRIMARY DESCRIPTION OF JOB RESPONSIBLITIES: May include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Read barcode labels and use scanning technology to accurately count items during inventory checks and processing incoming stock.
- Monitor stock locations and perform updates and edits to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure the timely replenishment of stock.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and record the results accurately.
- Compile detailed inventory information, such as consumption rates, product characteristics, value, and stock on hand, to assess supply needs and scheduling of replenishment.
- Input data into inventory management system and generate audit reports to help in the analysis of inventory trends.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to communicate inventory status and resolve any discrepancies.
