Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to oversee inventory accuracy, stock levels, and inventory control processes within our manufacturing facility.
This position will play a key role in developing and implementing an effective inventory management system, maintaining accurate ERP records, and ensuring materials and finished goods are properly identified, stored, tracked, and accounted for.
The ideal candidate has previous inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment, strong ERP system experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and monitor daily inventory levels to ensure accurate stock availability.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve the site's inventory management and control system.
  • Perform and maintain accurate ERP inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, adjustments, issues, and returns.
  • Create and maintain inventory bins, locations, part numbers, and storage organization within the ERP system.
  • Establish and maintain proper inventory locations and labeling throughout the facility.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Coordinate and perform annual physical inventory counts.
  • Research inventory variances and identify root causes of discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure physical inventory matches ERP system quantities.
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Production, Shipping/Receiving, Quality, and Operations to ensure inventory accuracy and availability.
  • Monitor inventory usage and identify potential shortages, excess inventory, obsolete materials, or discrepancies.
  • Establish and maintain standardized inventory control procedures and work instructions.
  • Assist with improving material flow, storage methods, and overall warehouse organization.
  • Ensure materials are properly received, identified, stored, and transacted within the ERP system.
  • Provide inventory reports and communicate inventory status, issues, and trends to management.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy, efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and controlled inventory environment.
  • Perform other inventory and materials-related duties as required.

Typical Education & Relevant Experience:
• Previous inventory control or inventory management experience is required.
• Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working with ERP systems and performing inventory transactions.
• Strong understanding of inventory control principles and practices.
• Experience performing cycle counts and physical inventory counts.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with production, purchasing, shipping/receiving, and management teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other standard computer applications.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience helping to implement or improving an inventory management system.
• Experience creating and maintaining ERP inventory locations/bins.
• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor/Kinetic.
• Understanding of BOMs, work orders, material transactions, and production inventory.
• Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
