ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry and updates in the ERP or inventory management system.
  • Record receipts, transfers, adjustments, and returns of materials.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
  • Prepare inventory reports for supervisors, production planners, or management.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory counts.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory variances through root cause analysis.
  • Support internal and external inventory audits as needed.
  • Assist with receiving, storing, labeling, and organizing materials and finished goods.
  • Ensure materials are issued accurately to production departments according to job orders.
  • Maintain clean, orderly inventory storage areas following safety and 5S standards.
  • Support inventory transfers between warehouse, production, and shipping/receiving.
  • Work closely with production planners, purchasing, warehouse staff, and supervisors to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Communicate shortages, overages, and inventory risks promptly.
  • Safely deliver products to customers on time and in excellent condition.
  • Load, organize, and secure cargo to prevent damage during transit.
  • Plan delivery routes to optimize time and fuel efficiency, adjusting as needed for traffic or road conditions.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
  • Follow all local, state, and federal transportation laws and safety regulations.
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service at every delivery location.

SKIILS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math and understand units of measure.
  • Effective communication skills for working with production and warehouse teams.
  • Ability to follow processes, work independently, and problem solve.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Desired

  • 1–3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing
  • Forklift or material handling equipment experience may be beneficial.
