INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (PROCUREMENT)

About the Position: This position is under the supervision of the Supply Directorate Sourcing Division, procurement Branch. The referral list(s) generated by this announcement may be used to fill future vacancies in other organizations throughout the Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC) in Warren, MI.

Review supply actions, apply knowledge of contracting types, requirements, and methods to develop supplier acquisition packages for secondary items.

Identify and draft documentation for requirements packages which may include management decision documents, justification and authorization for other than full and open competition, acquisition plans, and contract data requirements.

Coordinate with contracting center, engineering support activity, and other stakeholders to resolve delays to contract award.

Conduct surveillance of open contracts to ensure on-time delivery of supplies and performance of services. Maintain communication with the contracting center and vendors to facilitate proactive status updates.

Communicate any award or delivery delays to internal stakeholders to facilitate decisions regarding supply posture, order release strategy, and readiness. Initiates escalation actions to leadership based on established business rules.
