Job Overview

We are seeking an Inventory Manager to own inventory control, purchasing coordination, receiving, job staging, warehouse organization, and showroom product accountability. This is a working-manager role: you'll be on the floor doing the work while also establishing the repeatable systems that keep it running smoothly.

The right person for this role protects project schedules, cash flow, and gross margin by reducing shortages, excess stock, loss, damage, and ordering errors. You'll report exceptions early and coordinate directly with sales, project management, accounting, vendors, and field teams to keep every job staged and ready ahead of time.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Tracking & Accuracy

• Maintain accurate records of all inventory items, quantities, and locations in the inventory software
• Track incoming and outgoing materials in real time
• Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts
• Identify and resolve discrepancies quickly

Ordering & Replenishment

• Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials as needed
• Coordinate with sales and project teams to forecast material needs
• Ensure timely ordering to prevent project delays
• Maintain appropriate stock levels without over-ordering

Receiving & Verification

• Receive incoming shipments and verify accuracy against purchase orders
• Inspect materials for damage or defects
• Ensure all received items are properly logged and stored
• Communicate discrepancies or issues immediately

Job Allocation & Staging

• Pull and stage materials for upcoming projects
• Ensure all required components are ready prior to installation
• Label and organize job-specific materials clearly
• Coordinate with installation teams to ensure readiness

Warehouse Organization & Management

• Maintain a clean, organized, and accessible inventory space
• Ensure all materials are properly labeled and stored
• Implement systems to improve efficiency and scalability
• Optimize layout for ease of access and workflow

Loss Prevention & Cost Control

• Track and reduce lost, damaged, or unused materials
• Monitor usage patterns and identify inefficiencies
• Support profitability by controlling inventory-related costs

Showroom Compliance

• Maintain showroom standards per vendor requirements
• Submit required documentation and photos for compliance
• Ensure displays are current and aligned with brand expectations

Qualifications

• Proven ability to maintain accurate, real-time inventory records and resolve discrepancies quickly
• Experience coordinating purchasing and replenishment in a project-based or field-services environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to build and maintain a clean, scalable warehouse system
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with sales, project management, accounting, vendors, and field teams
• A working-manager mindset: equally comfortable staging materials hands-on and building the process around it

Compensation

• Base Salary: $65,000–$80,000, depending on experience
• Quarterly performance bonus
