Inventory Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Inventory Manager to lead our inventory control and warehouse operations. Reporting into senior management, you will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, optimising warehouse performance, and leading a dedicated team to deliver exceptional operational standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of inventory professionals through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Oversee daily warehouse inventory operations, including receiving, storage, stock control, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Ensure inventory records are accurate and maintained in line with company procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels to support operational and customer requirements.
  • Conduct cycle counts, stock audits, and annual inventory checks to maintain high levels of stock accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, inventory variances, and damaged goods.
  • Develop and implement inventory control processes that improve accuracy and minimise stock loss.
  • Optimise warehouse space and storage utilisation to maximise operational efficiency.
  • Produce inventory reports, KPIs, and performance analysis for senior management.
  • Manage inventory transactions within Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP platforms.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring any corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Identify and deliver process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and productivity enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or logistics management.
  • Previous experience leading and developing warehouse or inventory teams.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and warehouse best practices.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience producing inventory reports and performance data.

Desirable

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience within high-volume warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.

Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline (preferred).

· Proven experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or logistics management.

· Experience supervising or managing warehouse / inventory teams.

· Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and warehouse best practices.

· Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting tools.
