Job Title: Inventory Officer
Location: Ososa, Ogun
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Purpose

Inventory Officer is responsible in assisting the inventory accounting process by regularly generating and analyzing inventory reports and monitoring cost of raw materials and production.
To be responsible for the company’s cost accounting, cost of sales analysis, product costing and variance analysis

Key Responsibilities

* Review all inventory purchase orders and invoices for accuracy before invoicing and payments.
* Minimize inventory losses by controlling unacceptable leakages, pilferages and nonchalant attitudes of Warehouse staff leading to loss of inventory and theft.
* Inspect all bad/damaged products returned from Depots and Trade before disposing/writing-off and replacement.
* Analyze and monitor raw material inventory.
* Create and maintain detailed inventory of incoming and outgoing supplies and ensuring that all purchase received are in accordance with the purchase order (PO) specifications.
* Work closely with relevant process owners to obtain necessary information and input required for compilation, documentation and analysis of costs.
* Process and post inter-depot transfers for beverage and bakery.
* Prepare inventory analysis reports and analyses variances.
* Assist in compiling cost data for preparation of annual budgets including estimates of standard cost increases for the following year.
* Assist in conducting analysis of raw materials and packaging standard costs for accuracy, on annual basis.
* Assist in generating monthly & quarterly departmental report.

Qualifications

* First Degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other related discipline
* Professional Certification, e.g. ACA, is an added advantage
* 2-3 years’ relevant experience on similar role.
