Inventory & Receiving Administrative Associate
Job Summary
The Inventory Inventory & Receiving Administrative Associate is responsible for inventory accuracy, WMS task management, operational reporting, and analytical support within a fulfillment operation. The role requires strong ability to interpret warehouse data and translate inventory, SKU, location, capacity, and trend information into practical recommendations for slotting, warehouse configuration, labor planning, and process improvement.
The position supports daily execution while also contributing to warehouse projects.
Essential Job Functions
- Prioritize, release, monitor, and complete inventory-related WMS tasks, including transfers, replenishment, cycle counts, location moves, consolidation, and re-slotting.
- Execute cycle counts, investigate inventory variances, reconcile physical inventory to WMS records, and support approved inventory adjustments.
- Maintain accurate inventory, SKU, location, and transaction records within the WMS and related systems.
- Analyze SKU, location, inventory velocity, movement frequency and other operational data to identify trends, exceptions, and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and analysis for inventory accuracy, task aging, inventory movements, capacity, and warehouse performance.
Evaluate warehouse capacity and location utilization and provide data-driven recommendations for rack, PnP, floor, staging, overflow, and other storage configurations

- Perform slotting analysis and develop SKU-to-location recommendations using demand, velocity, cube, weight, handling requirements, and operational constraints.
- Support warehouse projects by analyzing current-state conditions, developing future-state configurations, and estimating labor, time, space, and implementation requirements.
- Develop what-if scenarios and capacity models to determine location requirements, available space, and operational impact of customer growth or warehouse changes.
- Design and document warehouse solutions such as aisle reconfigurations, customer relocations, inventory migrations, rack/PnP optimization, consolida tion, and warehouse reorganization.
- Investigate recurring discrepancies and operational issues using root-cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Work with Operations, Inventory Control, Supervisors, Customer Service, and other stakeholders to convert analysis into executable warehouse plans.
- Support customer onboarding, expansion, audits, physical inventories, and inventory-related requests by providing accurate data, analysis, and operational recommendations.
- Present findings to management, including current state, analysis, options, recommended solution, expected impact, risks, and implementation requirements.
- Perform other analytical, inventory, tasking, or warehouse planning duties as assigned.
