The Investment Analyst conducts research and due diligence on external investment managers to support portfolio construction and investment decision-making within a wealth management firm. This on-site role involves quantitative analysis, manager selection, and presenting recommendations to senior leadership.
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Investment Analyst based in the United States.
The Investment Analyst will play a key role in supporting investment research and portfolio construction within a wealth management environment.
You will conduct in-depth research and due diligence on external investment managers across a range of asset classes and investment vehicles.
The role combines quantitative analysis, investment judgment, and clear communication of recommendations to senior stakeholders.
You will help develop efficient portfolio models designed to meet different client objectives and risk profiles.
Your insights will directly support manager selection, portfolio decisions, and tactical investment changes.
You will also contribute to robust documentation, compliance processes, and ongoing monitoring of investment strategies.

Accountabilities:
- Conduct thorough research and due diligence on external investment managers, strategies, funds, and investment vehicles.
- Perform recurring manager searches across a variety of asset classes to identify suitable investment opportunities.
- Maintain relationships with fund and investment management firms to obtain updates on strategy, performance, positioning, and other relevant developments.
- Analyze investment managers and present research findings, recommendations, and supporting analysis to senior investment leadership and relevant councils.
- Develop efficient portfolios and portfolio models designed to address different investment objectives and risk profiles.
- Provide clear and timely information to Portfolio Managers regarding investment manager selections, portfolio construction decisions, and tactical changes.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation supporting investment research, manager selection, portfolio decisions, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Review non-approved assets transferred in-kind into new accounts and conduct annual reviews of such holdings.
- Monitor investment and market developments to support informed recommendations and ongoing portfolio oversight.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related discipline is required; a graduate degree is preferred.
- 6+ years of professional investment experience, with significant exposure to investment manager research and due diligence.
- CFA designation or progress toward the CFA designation is preferred.
- Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to evaluate investment managers, strategies, performance, and portfolio construction considerations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex investment analysis into clear recommendations.
- Ability to present research findings and investment recommendations effectively to senior stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when preparing documentation for compliance and audit purposes.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative investment team.
- Sound judgment, critical thinking, and a disciplined approach to investment research and decision-making.
- Ability to successfully complete required criminal background and credit checks.
- This is a full-time, non-remote position and requires the ability to work on-site.
- Competitive annual salary range of $72,892 to $87,329 USD.
