IOCC Data Analyst
Summary
The IOCC Analyst monitors and analyzes airline operational KPIs such as on-time performance, crew productivity, and schedule execution, building dashboards and reports with Excel and Power BI to drive data-driven operational improvements at Arajet.
The IOCC Data Analyst is responsible for transforming operational data into actionable insights that support the continuous improvement of flight itineraries, on-time performance, crew control, and IOCC processes. The role focuses on analyzing OTP trends, delay causes, schedule robustness, aircraft and crew constraints, turnaround performance, and irregular operations impact to identify structural opportunities to improve the reliability and efficiency of the company's flight schedule.
The position works closely with IOCC, Network Planning, Crew Planning, Maintenance, Ground Operations, Flight Operations, Airports, and Finance to develop dashboards, performance indicators, root-cause analyses, and recommendations that enable data-driven operational decisions and strengthen the company's schedule integrity, punctuality, cost control, and process discipline.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
OTP and Operational Performance Analytics
- Analyze on-time performance data by route, station, flight number, aircraft rotation, time band, day of operation, delay code, and operational area to identify recurring trends and root causes.
- Optimize dashboards and KPI reports that monitor OTP, departure and arrival punctuality, delay minutes, controllable versus non-controllable delays, turnaround performance, cancellations, diversions, AOG impact, and IROPs cost drivers.
- Translate operational data into clear insights and recommendations for IOCC leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Support post-operation reviews by preparing analytical summaries of daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal operational performance.
Flight Itinerary and Schedule Improvement Analysis
- Evaluate flight itineraries and aircraft rotations to identify structural weaknesses that affect OTP, schedule recoverability, crew feasibility, ground handling performance, and customer connectivity.
- Assess block times, ground times, connection windows, aircraft utilization, hub bank structure, route sequencing, and operational buffers to recommend schedule improvements.
- Perform sensitivity analysis and scenario modeling to estimate the operational impact of proposed itinerary changes, peak-season schedules, route growth, or recurring delay patterns.
- Coordinate with Network Planning and operational stakeholders to provide data-backed recommendations that improve schedule robustness and operational reliability.
Crew Control and Operational Resource Analytics
- Analyze crew productivity, duty structures, reserve usage, deadheads, layovers, disruptions, and legality constraints to support efficient crew control and operational continuity.
- Identify crew-related operational risks that may impact punctuality, recovery capability, costs, or compliance during scheduled and irregular operations.
- Develop indicators that connect crew performance, operational disruptions, and itinerary feasibility to support better planning and real-time decision-making.
- Support Crew Planning, Crew Scheduling, and IOCC teams with analytical input for operational improvements without limiting the role exclusively to crew-related topics.
Continuous Improvement and Process Control
- Identify process gaps within IOCC workflows and propose improvements based on operational data, trend analysis, and performance results.
- Standardize reports, dashboards, data definitions, and performance routines to ensure consistent visibility of key operational indicators.
- Support the implementation of action plans, monitor the effectiveness of corrective measures, and track improvements over time.
- Promote a data-driven culture within the IOCC by providing reliable analysis, clear reporting, and practical recommendations for operational decision-making.
