Summary

A Christchurch-based developer building and maintaining iOS (ideally Swift) and web apps for client projects, involved across the full product lifecycle from discovery and design through testing, release, and support. Android developers with a genuine interest in iOS are welcome to apply.

Our Story

We're a Christchurch-based digital product company that sits at the intersection of design, software development, and business consulting. While building great apps is what we're known for, our real focus is helping clients solve meaningful problems through technology.

We believe the best solutions come from understanding people first. That means working closely with users, challenging assumptions, and creating software that delivers genuine value.

Learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement are part of how we work every day. If you're someone who enjoys sharing ideas, growing your skills, and building quality products with good people, you'll fit right in.

Our Role

We're looking for an iOS App Developer (open to experience in Android development with a genuine interest in iOS) to join our team based in Christchurch.

This role offers far more than feature development. You'll contribute across the entire product lifecycle, from early discovery and solution design through to development, testing, release, and ongoing improvements.

Working alongside a collaborative team of peers, designers and product owners, you'll help create mobile and web applications that are intuitive, reliable, and genuinely useful.

What you'll do:
  • Develop and maintain high-quality mobile applications for iOS (ideally using Swift)
  • Build new features across mobile and web products
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and shape solutions
  • Contribute to technical design and implementation decisions
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software issues
  • Participate in testing, deployment, and ongoing support activities
  • Ensure applications meet high standards for performance, usability, and quality
You'll be naturally curious, technically capable, and motivated by solving real-world problems. You enjoy working closely with others, value good user experiences, and take pride in writing clean, maintainable code. Ideally, you will bring:
  • 2-5 years' experience in mobile application development (iOS or Android)
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals and coding best practices
  • A genuine interest in mobile technologies and emerging trends
  • A user-first approach to product development
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A desire to keep learning, improving, and challenging yourself
  • Experience working within agile or collaborative development environments
What you'll get:
  • A creative and supportive team where ideas are welcomed and heard
  • Exposure to a broad range of projects, industries, and technologies
  • Opportunities to work with recognised regional and international brands
  • Ongoing coaching, mentoring, and professional development
  • A culture that values curiosity, empathy, and continuous growth
  • The chance to be involved in the full end-to-end product development process
Why Join Us?

Not every development role gives you visibility across design, strategy, user research, and delivery. Here, you'll gain exposure to the bigger picture and see the impact your work has on both clients and end users.

You'll join a team that cares deeply about creating great software while maintaining a positive, collaborative environment.

To Apply

This is a Christchurch-based position located at the Tait Technology Centre. Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand.

If you're passionate about mobile technology, enjoy solving complex problems, and want to build software that people genuinely love using, we'd love to hear from you.
