iOS Application Developer
Summary
Build and maintain the native iOS HR app in Swift/SwiftUI or UIKit, implementing offline sync, biometric auth, and secure payroll data handling for 30k+ field employees.
Owns the iOS employee application for many of employees, this app is the entirety of their experience of HR. Accountable for a mobile experience that works reliably in the field, on variable connectivity, for people who will not raise a support ticket when it fails.
Key Responsibilities
iOS Application Development
- Design, build and maintain the native iOS application using Swift and SwiftUI or UIKit.
- Implement employee self-service features: payslip access, leave request and approval, attendance capture, personal data update and notifications.
- Build offline-capable behaviour with reliable synchronisation and conflict handling, so that field employees are not blocked by connectivity.
- Implement device-native capability where required: biometric authentication, secure keychain storage, camera, location services and push notification.
Quality, Security & Release
- Own the App Store release process: build, signing, provisioning, submission, review response and phased rollout.
- Implement mobile security appropriate to payroll and personal data: certificate pinning, secure local storage, jailbreak awareness and session handling.
- Write and maintain automated tests (XCTest) and monitor crash reporting.
- Maintain compatibility across the iOS version and device range actually in use across the employee population, and manage the deprecation of old versions responsibly.
Collaboration
- Work with the UI/UX Designer to adapt designs to iOS Human Interface Guidelines without losing design intent.
- Work with the Senior Software Engineer on API design, particularly around versioning, since deployed mobile clients cannot be force-updated instantly.
- Coordinate with the Android Developer to maintain feature parity and consistent behaviour across platforms.
Requirements — Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent practical background.
- Minimum 4 years native iOS development experience with applications published to the App Store.
- Strong Swift proficiency; working knowledge of both SwiftUI and UIKit.
- Demonstrated experience with offline-first architecture and data synchronisation.
- Experience implementing biometric authentication and secure local data storage.
- Experience owning the App Store submission and release process independently.
- Automated testing and crash monitoring as routine practice.
- Professional English; fluent Bahasa Indonesia.
Requirements — Preferred
- Experience with enterprise or internal-distribution applications, including MDM and enterprise certificate management.
- Experience with applications handling financial or payroll data.
- Familiarity with CI/CD for mobile (Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, Bitrise).
- Cross-platform capability (Flutter or React Native) as a secondary skill.
- Published apps with substantial active user bases.
