Summary
A 12-month contract (inside IR35, up to £400/day) iOS engineer role, hybrid in London 3 days per week, building native iOS apps used by millions of customers. Day to day: Swift/UIKit development with MVVM and REST integrations, plus automated testing, CI/CD, performance optimisation and refactoring legacy code.

Our client is seeking an experienced iOS Engineer to join a high-performing mobile engineering team responsible for applications used by millions of customers worldwide. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale consumer-facing products, delivering high-quality mobile experiences while collaborating within a modern agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and enhance native iOS applications using Swift.
- Build scalable, maintainable solutions focused on performance and user experience.
- Work closely with product, design, QA and engineering teams to deliver new features.
- Debug, profile and optimise applications to ensure reliability and responsiveness.
- Develop and maintain automated unit and integration tests.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and engineering best practices.
- Refactor and modernise Legacy code where required.
- Produce technical documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience developing native iOS applications.
- Excellent knowledge of Swift and exposure to Objective-C.
- Experience with UIKit, MVVM architecture and REST API integrations.
- Familiarity with build and CI/CD tooling.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving and performance optimisation skills.
- Ability to work effectively within distributed agile teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
