Key responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality native iOS mobile applications using Swift and Xcode, integrated with the Backbase EBP Hub (Engine Room) capabilities

  • Write clean, documented, maintainable, and production-ready code; enforce coding standards and conduct peer code reviews

  • Ensure all iOS solutions are tested, accessible, extensible, maintainable, secure, and performant

  • Contribute to architectural decisions, review pull requests, and actively improve the team's git workflow and CI/CD systems

  • Mentor more junior iOS engineers, support onboarding of new team members, and contribute to cross-platform mobile guild knowledge sharing

  • Participate fully in Agile ceremonies - sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release readiness reviews

About you

  • Minimum 5 years of iOS mobile software engineering experience in a similar senior role

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

  • Experience with TDD, unit testing, continuous integration (GitHub Enterprise or Jenkins), and CI/CD pipelines

  • Solid understanding of mobile security standards and secure coding practices for iOS

  • Self-starter mindset - able to proactively lead on technical decisions and propose improvements without waiting to be directed
