iOS Developer Specialist
Summary
Native iOS developer at Scotiabank's ScotiaTech hub in Bogota, building secure, scalable banking apps in Swift/Objective-C with MVVM/SOLID architecture, remediating security findings, integrating with backend APIs, and working in Scrum teams with UX, QA, and Product.
Purpose
Ensure the development of robust, scalable iOS applications aligned with business objectives, contributing to technological innovation and the continuous improvement of the user experience.
Accountabilities
- Design and develop native iOS applications using Swift.
- Define and maintain scalable architectures by applying patterns such as MVVM and SOLID principles.
- Implement secure development practices, including data protection, secure credential management, and vulnerability prevention.
- Participate in technical risk assessments and propose appropriate mitigation solutions.
- Analyze and remediate vulnerabilities identified through static and dynamic security scans and penetration testing, ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Ensure code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and development best practices.
- Optimize application performance, security, and user experience.
- Integrate applications securely and efficiently with APIs and backend services.
- Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, including refinements, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including UX/UI, QA, and Product, to ensure deliverables are aligned with requirements.

Specific experience in the banking industry, preferably with a minimum of two yeasr of experience in similar positions.
- Advance English skills (B2 Levell)
- Swift and Objective- C 2-3 years of experience.
Working Conditions
Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
