Key Responsibilities for IP Network Engineer
1. Incident & Problem Management: Own the end-to-end resolution of network incidents escalated from L1/L2, performing root cause analysis (RCA) to resolve chronic problems and security threats, aligning with ITIL processes.
2. Infrastructure Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional infra tower teams to troubleshoot and isolate network-related root causes, ensuring rapid service restoration.
3. Vendor Management: Drive technical resolution by managing network vendor support teams (Huawei) for hardware/software issues, troubleshooting, and patching.
4. Critical Incident Response: Manage high-pressure, critical network incidents (P1/P2) by leading troubleshooting efforts, applying emergency workarounds, and implementing final fixes to minimize business impact.
5. Technical Coordination: Drive technical conference calls with support teams to accelerate problem identification and resolution.
6. Communication & Autonomy: Deliver clear, professional technical communication (verbal/written) and work independently on complex assignments.
7. Process Compliance: Strictly adhere to Customer and Huawei policies regarding change management, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and security standards.
8. Huawei Configuration: Perform daily configuration, commissioning, and optimization of Huawei data communication devices (Routers/Switches/Firewalls) based on customer requirements.
9. Network Insight & Optimization: Perform proactive network analysis and health checks to identify potential capacity bottlenecks or performance degradation.
10. Preventive Maintenance (PM): Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, monitor performance, and provide detailed reporting on network health check results and follow-up actions.
11. Customer Relationship Management: Maintain a professional relationship with the customer, providing proactive technical advice on infrastructure improvements and potential risks.
12. Team Collaboration: Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to provide technical guidance and collaborate with other TDs (Technical Directors/Teams) on complex problem resolutions.
13. High-Pressure Reliability: Demonstrate the ability to work under high pressure with minimal supervision to meet strict SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
