POSITION TITLE: Bilingual Family Assessment Clinician
PROGRAM: Intimate Partner Violence - Family Assessment Intervention Response
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide Intensive Family Assessment Intervention Response as delineated in the Intimate Partner Violence program standards, including crisis intervention, counseling, parent education and skill building, linkage to concrete services, and advocacy. This position reports to the IPV-FAIR Program Manager.
EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide trauma-informed clinical, advocacy, and concrete support services to families impacted by intimate partner violence using culturally responsive, family-centered practices.
- Build strong therapeutic relationships, engage and motivate families, and complete comprehensive strength-based and trauma-informed assessments.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions using the Fathers for Change and Mothers and More curricula, including counseling, safety planning, parent education, skill building, and strengthening the parent-child relationship.
- Collaborate with families, DCF, CSF, and community providers to develop treatment goals, coordinate services, and connect families with needed resources.
- Advocate for families while promoting self-advocacy and independence in accessing community supports.
- Monitor progress, assess ongoing needs, and ensure fidelity to the IPV-FAIR model and DCF Scope of Service.
- Provide primarily home-based services within the assigned catchment area and maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Accept assigned referrals, complete required initial visits within established timeframes, and maintain regular communication with DCF/CSF and the treatment team.
- Participate in weekly supervision and consultation, ensure client safety, provide coverage for team members as needed, and complete all clinical documentation accurately and on time.
