IR RAD TECH
Job Summary
Radiologic Technologists work at doctors offices, hospitals, labs and imaging centers to operate X-ray, CT, mammogram, sonogram and MRI machines among other imaging equipment. Their role is to coach a patient through a scan and use computers to collect information about their health
Responsibilities
- Assessing, evaluating, and testing patients
- Preparing and positioning patients for imaging
- Attending to patient needs during imaging procedures
- Applying and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of radiation protection and safety practices
- Independently performing or assisting a licensed practitioner in performing procedures such as mammograms, X-ray exams, MRIs, or administering radiation to cancer patients
- Preparing, administering, and documenting activities related to medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and institutional policy
Qualifications
- Associates degree
- NJstate license
Required skills
- Must be able to scrub and circulate at a high level,
- have mastery level knowledge of IR, equipment, products, and fluoroscopy machines such as IVUS, Siemens, and Phillips.
- Must have Product knowledge: wires, catheters, balloons, atherectomy, thrombectomy, etc. Basic understanding of coding, and experience with GE PACS, Cerner, and Radnet.
- Must be able to scrub for Vascular and Neuro Procedures with proficient knowledge of mechanical thrombectomy and emergent stroke intervention.
- Must have proficient knowledge and skills to perform endovascular procedures

Pay Range: $69.83/Hour
