Description
Job Summary
We are looking for an ISP Image Engineer to join our R&D team in Bengaluru, focusing on image quality development, Image Signal Processing (ISP), camera tuning, calibration, and validation for IP cameras and video surveillance products.
The candidate will work on improving image quality under different lighting and environmental conditions, developing image testing methodologies, establishing quality standards, and supporting camera image tuning. Experience with ISP pipelines, image algorithms, 3A functions, and camera calibration will be an advantage.
The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in image processing, practical camera evaluation skills, and the ability to analyze image quality issues and work with firmware, hardware, and product development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, analyze, and improve image quality for IP cameras and other image-related products.
- Work with Image Signal Processing (ISP) pipelines and image tuning parameters to achieve optimal image performance.
- Perform camera image tuning and calibration for different sensors, lenses, resolutions, and operating conditions.
- Evaluate image performance in daylight, low-light, night-time, backlit, and challenging lighting environments.
- Analyze image quality parameters such as sharpness, noise, color reproduction, exposure, contrast, dynamic range, and image consistency.
- Work on camera tuning functions such as Auto Exposure (AE), Auto White Balance (AWB), and Auto Focus (AF), where supported by the platform.
- Support optimization of Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), noise reduction, sharpening, color correction, gamma, and other ISP-related parameters.
- Develop and improve image testing methods, quality evaluation processes, test scenarios, and validation procedures.
- Establish image testing specifications, acceptance criteria, and image quality standards for camera products.
- Use appropriate hardware and software tools to capture, compare, measure, and analyze image performance.
- Conduct image quality testing across different sensors, lenses, firmware versions, resolutions, and environmental conditions.
- Identify image quality defects, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate with ISP, firmware, hardware, and sensor teams to resolve them.
- Support image quality verification during new product development, firmware updates, and product validation.
- Document image tuning parameters, test results, calibration procedures, defects, and improvement recommendations.
- Participate in cross-functional technical discussions to improve camera performance, stability, and consistency.
Required Skills and Qualifications
