Isuzu Service Technician

We are looking for an experienced Isuzu Service Technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair Isuzu commercial trucks. This position is responsible for completing high-quality repairs efficiently and helping keep our customers’ vehicles safely on the road.
Previous Isuzu experience is preferred but not required. Technicians with experience servicing diesel, medium-duty, or other commercial vehicles are encouraged to apply.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair Isuzu commercial trucks, including gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles.
- Perform work as outlined on repair orders.
- Complete repairs efficiently and accurately in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, drivability, and emissions-related concerns.
- Perform preventive maintenance and DOT-related vehicle inspections, as assigned.
- Verify warranty coverage, when applicable, and follow manufacturer warranty procedures.
- Communicate with the Parts Department to identify and obtain necessary parts.
- Save, tag, and properly document warranty parts.
- Notify the shop foreman when additional repairs are needed or a repair order should be adjusted.
- Document diagnostic findings, repairs, and recommendations in technician comments during each active time punch.
- Road test vehicles, as needed, to verify repairs and assess quality.
- Maintain current knowledge of Isuzu service information, technical bulletins, diagnostic procedures, and manufacturer updates.
- Keep customer vehicles clean and protected while being serviced.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Properly maintain and account for dealership-owned tools and equipment.
- Follow all federal, state, and local requirements governing workplace safety and hazardous-waste disposal.
- Adapt to changing business needs, including emergencies, staffing changes, workload fluctuations, rush repairs, and new technology.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
