IT Administrator / DevOps Engineer

Maintains and evolves the company’s Linux-based IT infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for an open-source IoT operating system, handling servers, networks, and developer tooling.

Location: Warsaw, Poland
Phoenix Systems is looking for an IT Administrator / DevOps Engineer to work on the maintenance, monitoring, and development of IT infrastructure and to support software development processes (Continuous Integration, toolchains, etc.).
Tasks & accountabilities:
- server administration and network configuration (office, branches, colocation),
- management of internal company systems, e.g., YouTrack, Gerrit, backup system, monitoring, virtualization, firewalls, web servers, DNS, and databases,
- management of the LDAP directory service, accounts and business access for employees and collaborators,
- participation in the work of software development and test platform teams,
- integrating software with Continuous Integration tools,
- development and maintenance of the platform for development, deployment, and testing of the Phoenix-RTOS software,
- planning, designing, and presenting network architecture solutions,
- preparation and configuration of workstations,
- inventory of hardware and software,
- diagnosing and resolving hardware, network, and system failures,
- implementing and developing IT solutions.
Required skills:
- bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electronics, mathematics, physics or similar fields,
- minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position,
- advanced Linux system administration skills,
- knowledge of network technologies: TCP/IP, traffic filtering, tunnels, cybersecurity, DNS/DHCP,
- familiarity with OpenVPN, Git, Docker, Proxmox, apache/nginx technologies,
- knowledge of technologies: Kubernetes, Github Actions, Buildbot, CI/CD,
- knowledge of scripting languages, e.g., Bash, Python,
- experience in operating and servicing server hardware,
- communication skills and proactiveness,
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision,
- consistency in pursuing goals and the ability to complete tasks,
- good command of the English language (minimum B2 level).
