ABOUT THE ROLE
Pulse is seeking an IT Administrator with around a year's experience to join our IT Administration team and start building the skills that keep the infrastructure behind Pulse ERP running securely and reliably.
Reporting to the Client Experience (CX) Lead and working alongside our Senior IT Administrator, you'll join the IT Administration team and get hands-on exposure to server setup, configuration, and day-to-day management. This is a genuine entry point into infrastructure — not a pure helpdesk role — where you'll be supported to develop your technical skills across servers, security, networking, and virtualisation, with a clear line of sight to more senior responsibility as you grow.
What You'll Be Doing (And loving!):
Assist with day-to-day server monitoring, patching, and basic configuration tasks, guided by senior members of the IT Administration team
Support IT security basics — user access setup and changes, password resets, and monitoring for anything unusual
Help maintain backups and take part in routine disaster recovery checks to keep systems secure and always-on
Provide first and second-line support for infrastructure-related tickets, escalating complex issues to senior team members
Assist with onboarding and offboarding — setting up user accounts, hardware, and software
Document processes, incidents, and changes as you build ITIL-aligned service management habits
Learn Pulse ERP inside out and get hands-on with Pulse's AI-powered tools as we drive automation across the IT function
Technology Environment
You'll be learning across a broad infrastructure stack supporting ERP operations in the mining and resources sector, including:
Windows Server environments — setup, configuration, and virtualisation platforms
Backup and disaster recovery, on-premises and cloud-hosted infrastructure, server patching and monitoring
IT security and compliance, identity and access management, security monitoring and alerting
Network infrastructure, Wi-Fi, DNS and DHCP, Microsoft 365 and Azure
What Makes You a Great Fit:
Around 1 year of experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or junior administrator role
Foundational knowledge of Windows Server environments — Linux exposure is a plus
A basic understanding of IT security principles — access controls and password policies
Genuine curiosity about networking, virtualisation, and infrastructure
Strong troubleshooting instincts and a willingness to dig in and learn
Good communication skills — able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical colleagues
A Certificate or Diploma in IT, Networking, or a related field (or working towards one), or equivalent hands-on experience
Entry-level certifications (such as CompTIA A+/Network+ or Microsoft Fundamentals) highly regarded, though not essential
Experience in the mining or resources sector is a bonus — but not essential, we'll train you on Pulse ERP
