IT Analyst Apprentice

Summary

Provide first-line IT support and troubleshoot technical issues while learning on the job in a small team environment.

Salary: £25,800 - 25,800 per year

Responsibilities:
  • We will have you acting as the first point of contact for all business IT incidents.
  • We need you to answer calls in a professional and helpful manner, fully understanding the callers problem or requirement.
  • We will have you investigate and resolve incidents to the best of your ability, escalating to DWP and the Technical Support Team when needed.
  • We need you to ensure all calls are recorded accurately in the call logging system.
  • You will monitor call lists to make sure all calls are handled effectively and in line with service standards.
  • We will have you support and troubleshoot technologies including Document Management System (Worksite), Outlook, Expert, Workshare, Enterprise Vault, Laserforms, AnyConnect, VMware, Microsoft Office 2010, Intelligent Hub, MS Intune, Office365, Citrix, laptops, desktops, and Apple devices.
  • You will build, configure, and maintain PCs and laptops.
  • We need you to provide customers with regular updates on the status and progress of their calls.
  • You will share information and knowledge with the team and work to continually improve your IT skills and knowledge.
  • We need you to follow all processes and procedures in the Best Practice Guide, including Incident and Problem Management.
  • You will assist with project work, including floor walking.
  • We need you to communicate with third-party companies regarding warranties and new products.
  • You will keep up to date with new and changing PC, laptop, and iPhone platforms.
  • We need you to maintain good communication with international IT contacts and share knowledge and procedures.
