IT APPLICATION ANALYST (SAP)

Salary: RM 4,300 – RM 5,500 per month

About the role

San Soon Seng Food Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced IT Application Analyst (SAP) to join our growing Information & Communication Technology team. This is a full-time position based in Selangor, where you will play a critical role in supporting, maintaining and optimising our SAP enterprise resource planning systems. As an IT Application Analyst specialising in SAP, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring our systems operate efficiently to support business operations across the food manufacturing and distribution sector.

Key responsibilities

1. Support and maintain SAP systems across multiple modules, ensuring optimal performance and availability

2. Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for SAP configurations and customisations

3. Perform system testing, including functional testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solution quality

4. Configure and support SAP modules relevant to food manufacturing, distribution and supply chain operations

5. Provide technical support and troubleshooting to end-users, documenting issues and resolutions in a timely manner

6. Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams and SAP vendors to identify, prioritise and resolve system issues

7. Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, user guides and process workflows

8. Participate in system upgrades, patches and enhancements whilst minimising business disruption

9. Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience

10. Support the training and onboarding of users on SAP functionalities and best practices

What we're looking for:

1. Proven experience of 3-5 years working as an SAP Application Analyst or similar SAP support role

2. Strong technical knowledge of SAP modules, particularly in Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Production Planning (PP) or Finance (FI)

3. Hands-on experience with SAP system configuration, customisation and troubleshooting

4. Sound understanding of business processes in manufacturing, supply chain or distribution environments

5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

6. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users

7. Experience with SAP testing tools and methodologies

8. Knowledge of SAP security and user access management

9. Relevant certifications in SAP (such as SAP Certified Associate) are highly desirable

10. Proficiency in using tools such as ABAP reporting, Business Objects or similar analytics platforms is advantageous

11. Experience in the food manufacturing or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry would be beneficial
