IT Application Developer (Contract 1 Year)

Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for building and improving internal applications for the team. The role includes working directly with end-users, iterate quickly and leverage modern AI coding tools (like Claude Code) to prototype, build and ship software faster. Ideal candidate is someone who’s comfortable experimenting, questions legacy workflows and pushes the boundaries of what’s possible with AI-assisted development.
This role is based in Tampines North.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain internal web/app tools used by the Team Members.
- Use AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) as core parts of the workflow.
- Gather requirements, prototype solutions and iterate based on user feedback.
- Write clean, documented code and assist with deployment & troubleshooting.
- Research and test new frameworks, APIs and AI workflows to improve efficiency.
- Contribute to building internal development standards and tooling.
Qualifications
- Min. 2 years of experience in software development.
- Comfortable with at least one modern stack: Python/FastAPI + React, Node.js/TypeScript or similar.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants (must be able to demo how to use them).
- Basic knowledge of Git, REST/GraphQL APIs, relational databases and cloud deployment.
- Experience building dashboards, automation tools or internal workflows.
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD or cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) will be added advantage.
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG or lightweight AI integrations is a plus.
- Portfolio/GitHub showing shipped projects or active experimentation.
- Good problem-solving skills, self-directed learning mindset and comfort with ambiguity.
