A leading company in the tobacco industry is seeking an IT application manager to oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise applications that support the business objectives. The role involves managing application lifecycle processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s software systems.
This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to drive projects to completion while maintaining a focus on improving efficiency and reducing downtime.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the deployment, maintenance, and support of business applications.
- Coordinate with vendors and IT teams to ensure application functionality and performance.
- Lead application development projects, from requirements gathering to implementation.
- Develop and enforce application management processes and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for automation and improved workflows.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the IT team and end-users.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in application management or a related IT managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise applications, software development lifecycle, and IT service management.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating with vendors.
- Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or other business applications is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience in project management and process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with SAP modules SD, PP, HCM, FICO, and PM.
- Experience in project implementation.
