IT Application Software Engineer – Loan Origination System
Salary: RM 8,000 – RM 9,000 per month
About the role
We are looking for an IT Application Software Engineer to support application development, system implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing application maintenance for our Loan Origination System (LOS).
Key responsibilities
Provide support for projects and Business-as-Usual (BAU) activities as required.
Develop high-quality software designs, architecture, tools, and applications using clean and efficient code.
Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Review, debug, validate, and test application code to ensure quality and reliability.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues and improve application performance.
Document development phases and monitor system performance.
Coordinate system implementation and troubleshoot issues during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Proactively identify system risks and recommend improvements or mitigation measures.
Perform application monitoring, performance tuning, and testing.
Assist in administering and maintaining application environments.
About you
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in application development, programming, software design, system support, and application database management.
Experience supporting multi-tier infrastructure and multiple system integrations, including batch and online processing.
Experience in Problem and Incident Management.
Linux operating system.
SQL and database technologies, preferably IBM DB2. Experience with MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or Oracle is also acceptable.
Shell scripting.
JavaScript and web application technologies.
PHP or other programming languages.
SOAP, REST APIs, XML, and system integration.
