About the role:

We are seeking experienced Enterprise, Solution, and Security Architects to join the TAP team.

We are recruiting Senior Solution Architects and Lead Security Architects to support complex Australian Government ICT transformation and cyber security initiatives.

In these roles, you will provide architectural leadership, develop solution and security architectures, define target states and roadmaps, and provide governance and assurance to support successful technology delivery.

We are looking for professionals with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Solution Architecture

• Security Architecture

• Enterprise Architecture

• Cloud Technologies

• Systems Integration

• Cyber Security

You will work closely with business, technology, and security stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and practical solutions that align with strategic and operational objectives.

About you:

Essential Skills & Experience

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 5+ years' experience as an Enterprise, Solution, or Security Architect within large and complex ICT environments.

• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to executives and business stakeholders.

• Experience evaluating technologies and recommending fit-for-purpose solutions.

• Hands-on experience developing prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate architectural approaches.

• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or DoDAF.

• Experience with enterprise integration, APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architectures.

• Strong understanding of cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.

• Experience working in Agile and DevOps delivery environments.

• Industry certifications such as TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent are highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end technology solutions aligned with business objectives, enterprise architecture principles, and security requirements.

• Translate business requirements into solution designs, architecture artefacts, and technical specifications.

• Develop and maintain current-state, transition-state, and target-state architectures, technology roadmaps, and reference architectures.

• Provide architectural leadership across cloud, infrastructure, applications, data, identity, and integration domains.

• Lead technology evaluations and provide guidance on platforms, products, integration approaches, and emerging technologies.

• Provide architecture governance, design assurance, and architectural risk management throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Identify and manage architectural risks, issues, dependencies, constraints, and technical debt.

• Contribute to architecture reviews, standards, strategic planning, and technology roadmaps.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, delivery teams, engineers, and other architecture disciplines to ensure successful outcomes.

• For security-focused roles, develop security architectures, standards, and patterns, and provide advice on cyber security risks and controls.
