IT Asset Management Analyst
At Ryman, we manage thousands of technology assets across our villages and offices, in New Zealand and Australia, from laptops and tablets to mobile phones and accessories. We're looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Asset Management Analyst to help us maintain accurate data, manage technology investments, and provide insights that support better business decisions.
This role combines data analysis, procurement, IT asset lifecycle management, reporting, and process improvement. You'll work closely with Technology, Finance, Procurement, vendors, and stakeholders across the business to ensure our technology assets are accurately tracked, effectively managed, and delivering value.
This is an office-based role located at our Christchurch Head Office, Monday to Friday.
What you'll do
- Managing the lifecycle of laptops, mobile phones, tablets, and other technology assets from planning & purchase through to disposal
- Maintaining accurate asset records and ensuring data is reliable, complete, and up to date
- Raising purchase orders, managing supplier quotes, and tracking technology orders through to delivery
- Conducting remote asset audits across our 49 villages and offices to verify devices are in the right location and assigned to the correct team member
- Investigating missing, unassigned, underutilised, and non-compliant assets to improve accountability, reduce risk, and maximise the value of technology investments
- Analysing asset, procurement, and utilisation data to identify cost-saving opportunities, reduce waste, and support budgeting and forecasting
- Producing reports and insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making
- Supporting technology refresh programmes, deployments, and device optimisation initiatives
- Working closely with Technology, Procurement, Finance, and vendors to ensure effective management of Ryman's technology assets
- Supporting audits, governance, and compliance requirements
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, automate manual tasks, and enhance asset visibility across the organisation
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is curious, organised, and comfortable working with large volumes of information.
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills & Experience with Power BI
- Strong data management and analysis skills, with the ability to evaluate information from multiple sources, identify trends and resolve data quality issues.
- An analytical, problem-solving mindset with a strong interest in continuous learning and teamwork
- Understanding of IT Operations & terminology
- Experience raising or managing purchase orders, invoices, or procurement activities
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
You may have experience in:
- Asset management
- Technology operations
- Procurement, or supply chain operations
- Business or data analysis
- Service Now or other ITSM platforms
