IT Asset Management Operation Analyst

Job Summary

We’re looking for a detaildriven IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst to strengthen our technology governance and ensure our customer’s hardware and software assets are tracked, optimized, efficient, and compliant. If you thrive on structure, accuracy, and improving processes, this role will put your skills to work in a meaningful way. The role involves working closely with customers, auditing their usage, entering accurate data into systems after verification, and proposing best practices to customers.

Key Responsibilities

Software Asset Management

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all software assets across their lifecycle, from procurement to retirement.

  • Reviewing quotes, purchase orders, contracts, GRN documentation and entering the system with accurate information

  • Checking and auditing information entered the system and verifying no errors.

  • Track hardware and software usage, licensing, renewals, and compliance requirements.

  • Support procurement activities by coordinating with vendors, reviewing quotes, and validating asset requests.

  • Monitor license usage, warranty status, and refresh cycles to ensure timely replacements.

  • Develop and maintain asset management documentation, including policies, procedures, and workflows.

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and identify discrepancies.

  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, Security, and Procurement teams to align asset management with organizational goals.

  • Generate reports and dashboards on asset utilization, cost optimization, and compliance metrics.

  • Assist in implementing and improving ITAM tools and automation.

  • Reviewing software contracts, tracking changes, checking feasibility and making recommendations

  • Preparing reports and dashboards

  • Testing the system with new views and dashboards created as per audit and compliance requirements.


Hardware Asset Management
  • Maintain an accurate and uptodate inventory of all hardware assets, including laptops, desktops, servers, mobile devices, peripherals, and network equipment.

  • Track asset lifecycle stages: procurement, deployment, maintenance, refresh, and retirement.

  • Coordinate with procurement teams to validate hardware requests, review quotes, and support vendor management.

  • Monitor warranty status, support contracts, and hardware refresh cycles to ensure timely renewals and replacements.

  • Generate reports on asset utilization, lifecycle status, compliance, and financial impact.

  • Collaborate with IT Operations, Security, Finance, and Service Desk teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.

  • Assist in implementing and improving HAM tools, automation, and workflows.



Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 2–4 years of experience in accounting, business, finance IT operations, or inventory control.

  • Some understanding of IT lifecycle management and asset tracking methodologies.

  • Experience with ITAM/ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Zoho, Tally, Freshservice, Microsoft SCCM, Intune).

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and documentation skills.

  • Familiarity with ITIL practices is an advantage.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work crossfunctionally.

Professional Experience

  • 2–6+ years of experience in Accounting, Inventory Management or IT Operations

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing or audit/finance role is preferred
