IT & Audio-Visual Technician

Job Responsibilities

  1. Maintain and troubleshoot company network infrastructure, including LAN, network sharing, structured cabling and connectivity.

  2. Install, maintain and troubleshoot CCTV surveillance systems and related equipment.

  3. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of servers, including file servers, data servers and telephone recording servers.

  4. Install, configure, upgrade and maintain computer hardware, software and Windows operating systems.

  5. Install and maintain office printers, thermal printers and POS/receipt printers.

  6. Maintain the company's telephone system, including user access and permission management.

  7. Use professional testing equipment to inspect, calibrate and troubleshoot audio equipment.

  8. Assist in tuning and optimising audio system settings and sound performance.

  9. Configure and troubleshoot professional audio systems in karaoke/private rooms, including system architecture, equipment fault diagnosis and audio tuning.

  10. Use professional lighting software to configure, programme and optimise lighting effects for karaoke/private rooms.

  11. Provide on-site technical support for IT, network, audio and lighting systems across company outlets when required.

  12. Perform other technical duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

  1. Diploma, Higher Nitec, Nitec or relevant technical qualification in IT, Electronics, Networking, Audio-Visual Technology or a related field.

  2. At least 1 year of relevant working experience in IT support, networking, electronics, audio-visual systems or a related technical field.

  3. Good knowledge of computer networking, LAN, network troubleshooting and structured cabling.

  4. Proficient in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows operating systems.

  5. Proficient in computer hardware and software installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

  6. Familiar with the maintenance and troubleshooting of office printers, thermal printers and POS/receipt printers.

  7. Experience in using electronic testing and measurement equipment.

  8. Experience in professional audio systems, sound engineering, karaoke systems or entertainment technology will be an advantage.

  9. Experience with professional lighting systems and lighting control software will be an advantage.

  10. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical skills.

  11. Responsible, proactive, willing to learn and able to work independently as well as in a team.

  12. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  13. Able to provide on-site technical support and travel between company outlets when required.

  14. Applicants will be assessed based on relevant qualifications, skills, experience and ability to perform the job.

Working Conditions

  • The role may require on-site support at different company outlets.

  • May be required to work outside normal office hours when necessary for urgent technical issues, system maintenance or scheduled installations.

  • Candidates should be physically able to handle and install IT, audio-visual and related technical equipment safely.
