IT Business Analyst ( Core Banking)

Salary: ₱70,000 – ₱90,000 per month

About the role

This role focuses on requirements definition, functional specifications, user acceptance testing, operational readiness testing, and implementation support for banking systems. You will work with clients and account managers to understand project objectives and scope, define detailed system requirements in coordination with clients and policy developers, and collaborate with developers to confirm feasibility of application changes and explore enhancement options that address business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Work with clients and account managers to understand project objectives and scope

• Define detailed system requirements in coordination with clients and policy developers

• Collaborate with developers to confirm feasibility of application changes and explore enhancement options

• Present proposed solutions for business client approval

• Document system requirements and final functional specifications for client signoff and approval

• Plan and schedule UAT and ORT with users

• Monitor performance of UAT and ORT and provide assistance where necessary

• Perform initial evaluation of issues and errors raised by users and escalate valid issues with developers and project manager

• Prepare pre-implementation status reports and track completion of pre-implementation activities

• Support users in the use of enhancements and new systems upon implementation

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

• Minimum of 5 years of strong experience in business analysis, requirements definition, functional specifications, and UAT / implementation support

• Experience in Project Management

• Proven experience in the banking industry, with strong technical understanding and ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions

• Experience participating in solution design for banking systems and operational workflows

• Excellent communication and business writing skills

• Strong command of the English language, both verbal and written

• Experience supporting projects using Waterfall methodology

• Experience in data mapping documentation and integration

• Skilled in conducting root cause analysis and improving business processes
