About the Role

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to support regional IT initiatives and translate business needs into effective technology solutions.

Reporting to the Asia IT Business Partner, you will work closely with business users, internal IT teams and external vendors across requirement gathering, business analysis, solution evaluation, testing, deployment and ongoing application support.

This role is suitable for a meticulous and analytical professional who communicates confidently, manages stakeholders effectively and understands how enterprise applications are delivered and supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage business stakeholders to gather, analyse and document business, functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications, process flows, system requirements and supporting documentation.

  • Analyse business processes, data, system flows and operational challenges to identify suitable improvement opportunities.

  • Facilitate workshops and discussions with business users, internal IT teams and external vendors.

  • Prepare business cases, functional documentation, user stories, process maps and other project deliverables.

  • Review proposed technical solutions to ensure they address the agreed business requirements.

  • Develop and review test scenarios, coordinate user acceptance testing and support defect resolution.

  • Support system deployment, implementation and post-deployment activities.

  • Lead discussions with internal IT teams and vendors to define solution scope, timelines and deliverables.

  • Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables are completed on time and to the required quality standards.

  • Provide proactive project updates and communicate risks, issues and decisions to business stakeholders and IT management.

  • Coordinate application support and issue resolution within agreed service levels.

  • Act as the link between business users, technical teams and vendors regarding application functionality and system issues.

  • Support vendor management for application enhancements, maintenance and support activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in IT business analysis, enterprise application management or regional application delivery.

  • Experience supporting application maintenance, enhancements and IT project implementation.

  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.

  • Experience gathering and documenting business, functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Experience in business process mapping, system flow analysis, testing and user acceptance testing.

  • Good understanding of enterprise application architecture, including application, infrastructure, integration and security components.

  • Strong stakeholder, vendor and project coordination skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.

  • Able to adapt quickly and work effectively with business, technical and external stakeholder groups.

Advantageous Qualifications and Experience

  • Professional certification such as CBAP, PMP, Scrum Master or ITIL.

  • Experience in the HR, staffing or recruitment industry.

  • Experience supporting regional or multi-country enterprise applications.

  • Experience coordinating application vendors and outsourced development or support teams.

Ideal Candidate

You are organised, analytical and comfortable working between business and technology teams. You can challenge unclear requirements, identify gaps, document decisions properly and keep stakeholders aligned throughout the project lifecycle.

You should also be willing to take ownership of issues, follow through with the relevant teams and ensure that solutions are delivered properly rather than simply coordinating meetings and passing information between parties.
