IT Business Consultant
Summary
Leads Workday implementation projects, coordinating between North American and India teams, configuring solutions, and training staff on Workday Financials.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a working pod leader for launch projects
- Primary point of contact / escalation between the North American and India project team
- Engineer packaged solutions to achieve faster configuration.
- Distribute work from the North America team to India resources on the project, assigning tasks that aligns the resources with their skills, experience, and areas for growth
- Provide support and guidance to India-based project team on how to troubleshoot roadblocks, approach a task, manage time, and investigate solutions in Workday
- Evaluate the deliverables for completeness, accuracy, and functionality.
- Deliver direct and clear positive and constructive feedback to India project resources and relevant North America project resources.
- Communicate daily updates on the progress of the India team to the North America team by compiling status reports from each India-based project resource.
- Evaluate and reallocate project work as needed amongst the India project resources to ensure the tasks are completed on time.
- Lead less experienced resources in working with the client resources to:
- Understand client, project, and task requirements.
- Configure Workday
- Demonstrate solutions.
- Address issues
- Provide knowledge transfer.
- Develop and deliver client-ready deliverables and communications, including email, documents, Smartsheet comments and rows, and meetings/recordings
- Provide “technical” Workday support / guidance to the broader Financials Team
- Support the Talent Lead in identifying areas for improvement and addressing team capabilities.
- Requirements:
- Workday Launch Certified.
- Workday Launch project experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a field related to this position or equivalent work experience
- 5-7 years of related experience with cloud implementations in a consulting role
- Experience as a functional application specialist
- Excellent communication skills – oral and written – and the interpersonal skills needed to quickly establish relationships of trust and collaboration
- The ability to train and participate in the professional development of Huron staff in both project management and technical dimensions
- Proven ability to contribute on multiple projects of differing scale and duration
- Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed to work with client or other internal project teams
