The Role

Reporting to the Applications Manager, this is a pivotal role within our ICT team where you'll combine your business analysis expertise with hands-on systems support and application development. As our IT Business Systems Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements, analyse processes, support critical business applications and deliver technology solutions that drive operational efficiency and business success. You'll play a key role in the full solution lifecycle, from requirements gathering and functional design through to testing, implementation, support and continuous improvement. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of systems and projects, collaborating with both technical teams and business users to deliver meaningful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and develop functional and technical specifications for new and existing applications
• Support and enhance key business systems, ensuring reliability and continuous improvement
• Develop reports and insights using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
• Partner with stakeholders to facilitate User Acceptance Testing and successful solution delivery
• Investigate and resolve Level 2 support issues across business-critical applications
• Collaborate with the ICT team to design, develop and implement technology solutions
• Maintain documentation, data flows, processes and system specifications to support business outcomes

About You

You're a proactive problem solver who enjoys bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You thrive in a collaborative environment and bring strong analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement and technical expertise.

• 5+ years' experience supporting and enhancing business applications
• Experience with SQL Server, SSRS and business systems analysis
• Strong requirements gathering, documentation and stakeholder management skills
• Exposure to C#, VB.Net or similar Windows-based programming languages
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field
• Experience with Dynamics 365, Power BI or Power Apps will be highly regarded
• Finance industry or finance systems experience will be advantageous
