About the role
Makro Philippines (CP Axtra AC Corporation) is looking for a Business Systems Manager to keep the systems that power Makro’s retail business running well, from finance and inventory to POS, pricing and promotions, CRM, and reporting. You’ll be the link between business users, IT, and system owners and vendors. It suits a hands-on systems professional who understands end-to-end business processes and enjoys resolving issues and leading improvements in a growing start-up business.

What you’ll do:

• Map how information flows across finance, inventory, POS/RMS, pricing and promotions, CRM, and reporting systems, and spot gaps and dependencies

• Be the go-to person for Head Office system issues: work with users to understand the impact, troubleshoot hands-on, and follow each issue through to root cause

• Work with system owners and vendors on changes, upgrades, patches, and maintenance with minimal disruption

• Turn business needs into clear system requirements, and see them through implementation

• Lead system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and enhancements, including UAT, training, and rollout

• Keep documentation of processes, interfaces, and information flows up to date

• Support backup, recovery, and business continuity, and help assess and mitigate system risks and information security incidents

Things to help you succeed in the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

• At least 5 years in business systems management, systems support, IT business analysis, or a related role

• Strong grasp of business processes, system integrations, and data flows

• Experience coordinating with business users, IT teams, and external vendors

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills

• Clear communication, able to translate between business and technical teams

• Comfortable managing multiple priorities, issues, and projects in a fast-paced environment

It’s a plus if you have:

• Experience in retail, wholesale, FMCG, or a similar high-volume business

• Experience with retail systems such as POS/RMS, inventory, pricing and promotions, CRM, financial systems, or BI platforms

• Experience in system, network, or database administration

• Knowledge of information security, disaster recovery, risk management, and IT systems operations
