IT Cloud Engineer
Summary
IT Cloud Engineer at insurance provider FTJ in Kansas City: builds, automates, and operates Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform, maintains Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, implements monitoring/SLOs, and handles incident response and Tier 3 support.

Position Summary
Responsible for building, automating, and operating cloud-based infrastructure and applications; delivering changes through infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines; monitoring system reliability and responding to incidents; and building tools that automate repetitive tasks to minimize errors and prevent downtime.
Expectations
- Manage and maintain Microsoft Azure services to include Entra ID, Azure networking, Azure Data Factory, etc. using infrastructure as code (Terraform)
- Build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure, internal and third-party application deployments
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and service level objectives (SLOs) across the Azure environment
- Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews for production systems
- Maintain company’s security standards in the Azure ecosystem
- Create system diagrams, runbooks, and documentation as needed
- Provide Tier 3 operational support as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requisites
- Bachelor’s Degree, University Program Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of one IT industry certification, e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, etc.
- Two or more years’ experience in a cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE role in an enterprise environment, including scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
